Description
Turned spool for textile handicrafts, made of black polished wood. Mounted on a round base decorated with bone rosettes so that it can rotate. Crowned with a double-headed bone figure.
Provenance
Formerly Museum Neuruppin, former Zieten Collection (entry number 1322 b). During the Second World War, parts of the collection were moved to locations including the Neuruppin District Office and have been considered lost since the end of the war.
