Description
The saint, wearing a black pilgrim hat and a light red cloak over a grey robe, stands straight resting on a staff, the right hand downward and half opened in an asserting gesture; knee-length portrait on dark background.
Provenance
From the collection of duke Frederick IV of Saxe Gotha-Altenburg (cf. 1826 inventory). 1943 still present in the library, on August 11, 1943 to Reinhardsbrunn (2), returned from Cap. XI (catalog 1943, Bl. 382), since then whereabouts unknown.
