Description
Louis XV; fruit wood, veneered and inlaid with coloured woods. Curved and bulbous shape (‘Dos d'ane’), the contoured frame transitioning into four curved legs. The writing surface, sides and frame feature rich floral marquetry, framed by ribbons. Inside, rich cabinetry with many drawers and compartments. With gilt bronze fittings: four herms with laurel garlands, two round discs with laurel wreaths, shoes. Potsdam.
