Description
Hall bench, oak. Curved and richly carved backrest and side rests (acanthus motifs and two snakes). Frame also carved. Holland or Lower Rhine.
Provenance
Joseph M. Morpurgo Antiquitäten, Amsterdam, purchased by: unknown, 23 Nov. 1922, Hfl. 183.50; withdrawn from the inventory after 16 Oct. 1941 (probably under administrator Jacques Jansen); December 1942, auctioned by Weinmüller, lot 643, buyer: Bunzl (Odeonsplatz 12, Munich?); whereabouts unknown.
