Lady in a dark, low-cut dress with pearls around her neck and in her hair. Possibly a smaller reproduction of a similar portrait by Cornelius Janssen van Ceulen. Black frame

The painting was inherited by its original owner in 1936 from her late father. At the time of the Anschluss, it was hanging either in her father's Grinberg villa or in the apartment of her sister. In March 1938, it was confiscated by the Gestapo along with the paintings owned by her sister.
