Portrait of the Artist's Wife (Female half-nude at a window)

Formerly in the collection of Alfred Rothermund. Acquired by the Schlesischer Kunstverein and in 1920 as loan to the Schlesisches Museum der Bildenden Künste. Ownership transferred to the Museum in 1938 as part of the liquidation of the Schlesischer Kunstvereins (storage inventory no. 27529). Evacuated from the museum in June 1942 and transferred to storage in Kamenz/Kamieniec in Lower Silesia (transport list of 02 June 1942), from where stolen before 04 February 1946. Sold at Grisebach, Berlin, on 28 November 2008, lot 25.
