Description
Blue enamelled case with black-and-white ornaments; 49 diamonds set in the lid; oval cock and steel escapement without spring; fusee with gut string; signed: "De Baufre Paris".
Provenance
According to the 1858 inventory, formerly owned by duke August of Saxe-Gotha-Altenburg and given to the Kunstkammer in 1818. [...]. Currently in the possesion of the Hermitage of St. Petersburg (Inv.No. Э-17138).
