Description
Liturgical equipment. Octogonal box on four ball feet, the cover tapering to a point with a lamb (Agnus Dei), inscription on the base: "Gabriel Ruge" "Maria Jule" "1646", no hallmarks.
Provenance
Wismar St. Nikolai. With other communion devices since June 9, 1942 of Geistliche Hebungen (the city of Wismar) stored in a box in the safe of the Sparkasse of Wismar. August 16, 1945 opening of the safe by order of the commandant of the Russian troops, confiscation of the interior. Recommendation to the Superior Council of the Church of Mecklenburg, and in this respect to Colonel General Fedjuninski as Chief of the military administration for Mecklenburg. [...]. Whereabouts unknown.
