Nautilus goblet
Makers' mark MA, hallmark W, Breslau work, a fantastic sea creature on which Poseidon rides with trident and in whose mouth stands a man; the tail of the animal carries the mounted nautilus shell with cover, on it a woman standing on wings with flag-like structure in both hands. Engraving / inscription on the diademed outlined front of the nautilus bowl: a) "Ampliss: senatui Budissino concham hanc a soceros p.m. D. Andrea Cnöffelio, med.ol. regis Polon. Archiatro herdedt. jure sibi relictam officiosse offert. Tradit. M Oswaldt Nitsche senator CIƆCICLXV".
Donation of the councilman Oswald Nitsche to the Bautzen city council in 1665; Loss in Leisnig, Bus'sche Kaserne April / May 1945.
