In the left foreground is a farmer with a child and dog. A church tower is in the background. Black frame. Transferred to a new support. Signed "A.v.d.N."
Provenance
Permission was denied for shipment of the family’s art works, so their art collection was packed in boxes, sent to a forwarding agent and confiscated by the Nazis some time after November 11, 1941 when the family fled Hamburg for the United States via Portugal.
