Marienthal Monastery in Lusatia

The removal of the three overdoors from the Minister's Room (Room 402) with a further 19 overdoor paintings and 12 overdoor frames to the site at Brauna Castle on 12 June 1944 is on record. The report of 4 August 1945 on the devastation at Brauna Castle suggests that the overdoor inventory stored there was mainly removed, stolen or destroyed. The overdoor inventory is not listed in the repatriation files. Today there are still three overdorr frames of three overdoor paintings from the parlour after the castle square (room 304), which were moved to Brauna as a convolute; According to the files, they were lost at the relocation site.
