Loss Veste Coburg, ducal building, large air-raid shelter; History of loss: The absence of the work was discovered during the inspection of the hand drawings completed on 31 January 1949; in principle, it was not ruled out at that time that one or the other sheet had been mistakenly filed in other folders and could therefore be found again (see protocol number 12 on the inspection of the hand drawings at Veste Coburg). It is also unclear whether the lost drawings, engraving books and autographs were necessarily taken from the large air-raid shelter or from other locations, as there were other relocation sites for all the types of objects mentioned.
