Basic plane with angled blade for straightening deeper wood surfaces in wood joints or grooves. The ends of the plane body are shaped like volutes, with the initials “H M” carved into the sides. The date “1673” is carved onto the bracket.
Provenance
Formerly the Guben City Museum. Parts of the collection were apparently evacuated to Kossar (today: Kosierz) in 1942/43. The part of the collection that remained in Guben is said to have been looted between 1945 and 1948 and has been considered lost ever since.
