In view of the situation, Gauleiter Martin Mutschmann ordered on 19 January 1945 that all relocation sites east of the Elbe be cleared and the salvage transferred to depots west of the Elbe. This also included the objects salvaged from the Rehnsdorf manor. The transport of 61 paintings from Rehnsdorf to Schieritz Castle took place on 26 March 1945; According to the records, they were lost at the relocation site.
