Description
Etched and cut. With inscription: "Prospeckt der bey Striegau den 4. Jun. 1745 zwischen der Königlichen Preußisch und Combinirten Oestereich und Sächsischen Armee vorgefallenen Bataille". Below it lineup of armies in the landscape. "Rohn Stock". In the center: "Häslicht" right "Pilgramshayn", left "Königl. Ungaris", in the center under Häslicht "Chur Sächsis", above "Eisdorf". The Prussian companies are not indicated. The battle is in progress. Powder steam, kemons, horsemen, single soldiers. On the other side of the cup Frederick II on courting horse with marshal's baton, above him 2 eagles holding the crown. The rider is set in the form of a monument on a pedestal ending in rain scrollwork. In the center the monogram F.R. carries trophies on the sides, all around ribbonwork. At the lower center 2 horsemen in the landscape, the upper edge is partially hidden by a silver inking. Baluster cut knop. The goblet itself is curvilinear cut at the base. The foot shows a tendril of rain ornaments. Around the knop an incised crane, rods and ovoids alternating.
