The building is on the left in the middle ground. On the right one looks into the blue distance. In the foreground a carter is leading three horses. Signature: lower right: Brevghel 1641.

Acquired before 1723 by Count von Wackerbarth for Elector Friedrich August I of Saxony; stored in the Albertinum during the Second World War; lost after the end of the war; consigned to the Munich art auction house Hampel in 2007; returned to the Gemäldegalerie in 2011
