Description
Decorated in five coloures, an a carved plinth. Bulbous goldfish tub of thick-edged porcelain, the upper rim thickened again, painted with four different pairs of ducks on a pond between four lotus plants and smaller aquatic plants in bright underglaze blue, light green, iron red and yellow, the lower rim with stylised waves in blue and green, the upper beaded rim decorated with wavy tendrils in iron red and blue. Wucai decoration; porcelain with underglaze blue and enamel colour decoration; Ming dynasty, Wanli mark (1573-1619)
