Description
In ancient ruins Magdalene kneels before the big book that lies open to the right of a skull and crossbones on the crude altar. Front left a powerful thistle.
Signed in the middle: G. Dou.
The painting is one of the missing works and has been listed by Ebert mistakenly under the destroyed works.
