Provenance
1946 lost at the storage site in Nordhausen, cellar of the Aktienbrauerei. Official sources claimed that the paintings had been destroyed at their storage location during the bombing raids on 3 and 4 April 1945. Eyewitnesses, however, reported that the Americans had searched for the paintings and taken them away.
