Description
Baroque cabinet on 3 ball feet. Two doors between three fluted Corinthian columns. Widely projecting cornice. Rich relief carving on the plinth, the doors and the lower part of the column shaft. Interior compartments with openwork door leaves. Called a "keeftkast" in the Netherlands; from Friesland.
Provenance
Joseph M. Morpurgo Antiquitäten, Amsterdam, purchased in London (GB) on 08.12.1936, Hfl. 447; withdrawn from the inventory after 16.10.1941 (probably under administrator Jacques Jansen); December 1942, auctioned by Weinmüller, lot 536, buyer: unknown; whereabouts unknown.
