Description
Signed lower right: Rich. Friese 84. Lower left the campfires of the resting caravan are smoking. In front, over the stony hill, an almost life-size pair of lions creeps lurking up. The lion is lying on his stomach, turned to the left, ready to jump. The lioness climbs up in the middle of the front with her neck stretched forward.
Provenance
1888 from the interest of the Pröll-Heuer Foundation from the academy exhibition; 1937 in the Wehrmachtsdiensstelle Gruppenkommando III of the former Taschenbergpalais in Dresden.
