Description
The depiction shows demonstrating workers with banners and red flags on Berlin's Alexanderplatz, against which armed police run. In the background, a department store is indicated in grey-blue tones. The foreground is enlivened by colour accents. The picture was probably taken under the impression of the "Blutmai" 1929 organized by the then police chief Zörgiebel.
