Description
The sherd (bowl) consists of a hard porcelain-like mass. In the firing, uncovered areas have turned brown. The glaze is blue (Claire de Lune) and has flowed evenly in all parts. Only at the upper rim is it very thin, transparent and almost colourless, so that the lightly browned body shines through. The glaze ends at the lower rim of the vessel in thick drops. It also covers the bottom. Many glaze bubbles give it a crystalline appearance and make it a little opalescent. The crackling is "multiple broken ice".
