Description
The vase has a tall slender form that narrows at the neck. The body consists of a hard porcelain-like mass that has turned brown in the firing at the uncovered base. The cream-coloured glaze is soft and translucent with fish-roe mottling, which has brownish discolouration on top in places. The discolouration was caused by lying in damp soil for a long time - the so-called earth patina. Under the glaze there are leaves in a simple naturalistic design, which were cut in freehand. The wooden base has five feet.
