Description
The pear-shaped tankard has a domed lid and is set exclusively with John George II of Saxony thalers from the years 1657 and 1658; the thalers show the equestrian portrait of the elector and are placed in rows of five sizes - also on the lid, handle and handle hinge; the gaps between the coins are decorated with flatly wrought foliage; marked on the lip, on the right of the handle join.
