2 Louis XV style chandeliers with 48 light bulbs, made of gilded bronze with cut crystals by Baccara, Nancy (Invoice from Ferdinand Barbedienne in Paris dated 5 September 1868)
Provenance
Dresden Castle, 2nd floor of the George Building, Blue Salon and later Salon of Her Majesty the Queen; In inventory no. 1 of 31.01.1920, as part of the settlement agreement between the Free State of Saxony and the former royal house of 1924, under "Yellow Salon. II. floor George Building a large bronze chandelier, arms covered with glass, glass hanging, electric was listed, which fell to the state as a room inventory marked in red; An exact date of removal is not on record. The measures were completed in the summer of 1944. The sconces were probably removed on April 26, 1944 and taken to the relocation site at Rammenau Castle. Nothing is known about the circumstances of the loss of these objects. It is assumed that they were lost in connection with the events of the Second World War.
