According to I/NG 933, pag. 467/468: June 30, 1931 Frau Geheimrat Siemerling, Berlin-Charlottenburg 9, Rüsternallee 8, offers the Nationalgalerie the "Kloster Assisi" of Blechen from her estate for economic reasons. July 9, 1932 Justi rejects the purchase. 1934 from private property of Mrs. Geheimrat Siemerling, now in Kiel, widow of Ernst Siemerling (1857-1931), Kiel; Galerie Carl Nicolai, Berlin / since 1936 Städtische Bildersammlung / 1945 loss during the war.
