Altar wing with the founder and holy Andrew

The painting entered the art collection in 1698 and became part of the picture gallery in 1830. During the Second World War it was stored in Milkel Castle in the district of Bautzen and from 13 March 1945 in Schieritz Castle in the district of Meissen. It was one of the works missing since 1945 and returned to the Gemäldegalerie in September 1997 as a gift from the Dresden State Art Collections association, the Freunde der Staatlichen Kunstsammlungen Dresden.
