Description
Allegorical depiction of the American continent: Native American wearing a short feather skirt, a fur collar and a cloak made from coarse fabric, red boots and a striped short-sleeved jacket, everything set with feathers, as well as a feather crown on his head and a wide quiver on his back, holding green and red arrows; he stands with his right foot forward and turned to the left; the bow formerly held in the left hand is broken.
Provenance
Purchased on March 28th 1928 from Hugo Helbing, Munich, to complete the group of 4 continent figures, of which two had been already bougt there on December 10th 1927; for the sum of 425 marks, together with Z.V. 2769.
