9 candelabra, 4 with 9 and 5 with 12 candles made of gilded bronze and cut crystals (Baccara, Nancy), matching the arms of the chandelier
Provenance
Dresden Castle, 2nd floor NF, stucco hall, 1868 Great Blue Salon, “Salon of Her Majesty the Queen”, later also referred to as “Wasa Room” or “Yellow Salon”, delivered; Listed in inventory no. 1 of 31.01.1920, as part of the 1924 settlement agreement between the Free State of Saxony and the former royal house, which are assigned to the state as room inventory marked in red. An exact date for removing is not on record, the salvage activities were completed in the summer of 1944. The sconces were probably removed from stock on 26.04.1944 and taken to the Rammenau Castle relocation site; nothing is known about the circumstances of the loss. A loss in connection with the events of the 2nd World War is suspected.
