Description
Metal construction (iron) with gold bronze framed and mounted glass decor, crystal hanging.

Provenance
Dresden Castle, George Building, 1st floor, salon facing the castle square, probably between 1899-1902; Listed in inventory no. 1 of 31 January 1920 as part of the 1924 settlement agreement between the Free State of Saxony and the former royal house, which was transferred to the state. Photographs from 1936 and 1940 document the sconces in the room; the removal of the ‘Wandarme aus Zimmer 304 und 310’ to the relocation site at Brauna Castle on 12 June 1944 is on record; nothing is known about the circumstances of the loss of this object; A loss in connection with the events of the 2nd World War is suspected.
