The documents were confiscated and examined in 1941 by the ermögensverwertungsstelle of the then Oberfinanzpräsident (Chief Finance President) in connection with the confiscation of Martin Popper's assets and then remained with the authority. In 1989, they were handed over to the Berlin State Archives by the Oberfinanzdirektion Berlin.
