Description
Rectangular Torah shield (Hebrew: Tass) with an arched top. On the right and left are two fluted columns on a pedestal, topped by two lions holding a crown in their paws. On the plate at the bottom centre are two embossed tablets of law with Hebrew inscriptions, above which is a shield surrounded by a festoon. At the top is a menorah candlestick flanked by two flowers. The columns with pedestals, the lions and the crown are mounted and screwed in place at the back. The lions are gilded.
