Description
Torah shield (Hebrew: Tass) with irregular edges, decorated with embossed bands and metal fittings as well as floral tendrils. The twisted columns on either side of the shield field, which is surrounded by a pearl band, are mounted and each have a Corinthian capital on which a cast lion stands. The lions bear a crown with a floral border on their paws. Between the crown and the shield field is a shell ornament with tendrils, containing a scale pattern.
