Description
Long form, slightly bulbous in the middle, narrowing towards the neck and tapering to a pointed, 3-sided neck (gooseneck); pastel-colored motif on the the show side with Tübingen's southwestern cityscape with Neckar, in the foreground on the left the Neckarhalde and the Hohentübingen Castle, on the right the core town with collegiate church, motif framed in gold; The stick and lid are missing.
Dedication on the reverse "Ehmann s / m l. Kuhn Tübingen 1868".
Provenance
Purchased in 1934 by the Kunst- und Altertumsverein e.V., Tübingen, for 3 RM, previous owner unknown. In 1941 with the dissolution of the association passed into the possession of the Municipal Collection.
