Provenance
The chest was returned from the Kunstgewerbemuseum Berlin in 1958 (as a return from the SU) together with other artefacts from the Historisches Museum Dresden. As things stand at present, the object is not part of the Staatliche Kunstsammlungen Dresden, and its provenance or affiliation to the collection has not yet been clarified.
