Description
Supraporte; belonging together with Inv. No. S 1348, S 1350 and S 1351; Description: Allegorical depiction, in the foreground a seated lady playing the lute, dressed in antique garb, to her right a child whose hands rest on the lute-player's knees, to the left and right behind the lute-player two other persons, the person to the right playing the flute, in the background to the right a curtain, to the left clouds.
Provenance
Very probably came into the possession of the vault administration of the Ministry of Finance of the GDR from the possession of the Deutsche Reichsbank in the course of the opening of bank vaults after 8 May 1945; transferred by the vault administration of the Ministry of Finance of the GDR to the National Museums in Berlin in June 1953 and from there to the Dresden State Art Collections in October 1959.
