Maria (Virgin) with child
Full plastic group of reddish clay. On the left knee of the sitting Virgin Mary stands the blessing boy Jesus, whom she supports with her left hand, while her right hand reaches into the cloak lying on her lap. Mary with a girdled robe, headscarf and cloak with fringed hem.
The right hand of the child Jesus is missing, the crown of Mary, thumb and ring finger of her right hand, index finger and middle finger are damaged. Splinters on the lower right part of the robe. Wire reinforcements protrude from the edges of the damaged areas. Remains of the setting: a chalk ground is still visible, on it remains of blue (skirt/coat), red and possibly silver in the Madonna's dress.

Following extensive research, during which no previous legal owner/heir could be identified, the property was transferred/gifted to the Jewish community in Regensburg under reserve.
