Description

Leaf-spring chest lock without key, cuff band livelyly curved with faint remains of an engraving, lock plate rectangular with centrally curved bulge with sawn-out tendril work and engravings in the style of the early to middle 17th c.,

Provenance

Acquisition on 21.06.1939 in Hirschau by the Kunst- und Altertumsverein e.V., Tübingen for 10 RM, previous owner unknown. In 1941 with the dissolution of the association passed into the possession of the Municipal Collection.
