Funeral ceremonies for King Charles X Gustav of Sweden on 3 November 1660 in Stockholm
Funeral procession for Charles X Gustav as King of Sweden and Duke of Bremen-Verden in front of a splendid city and sailing ship backdrop. Multi-part series of copper engravings with cartouches and captions. Sheet 5 shows the funeral scaffolding in the foreground under a canopy, past which the funeral procession passes. Magnificent sailing ships are firing salutes of honour on the water. The upper and lower edges of the sheet are decorated with cartouches and coats of arms - a total of 58 coats of arms of the Swedish provinces are depicted in the frieze.
