Description
It is a chandelier with double eagle and two eight arms in two rows. Between the upper arms are seacreature (two seacreatures are missing today), between the lower arms volutes. On the ball is an inscription. According to this, the chandelier is a foundation of the Elbingen city doctor Friedrich Goldnau, who founded this church in Elbing in 1655.
Provenance
The candlelier was handed over to the Landesmuseum Bonn by the Gestapo Dienststelle Bonn, Kreuzbergweg 5, in December 1938, by its Chief Inspectorate, Settels. According to a file note from
22.12.1938 the chandelier comes from an unspecified confiscation.
