Description
Ornamental bone and wood inlays in the shape of a star. Brass lock on the front in the shape of a turtle.
Provenance
The box was returned to the Historischen Museums Dresden in 1959 from the Kunstgewerbemuseum Berlin (as a return from the SU) together with other arts and crafts artefacts. As things stand at present, the object is not part of the Staatliche Kunstsammlungen Dresden holdings, and its provenance or affiliation to the collection has not yet been clarified.
