Description

Supraporte: In the foreground a seated male figure on the left, on the right a female painter with brush and palette, behind them an oval portrait of the man, on the right in the background another female figure looking at the man and drawing him.

Belongs together with inv. no. S 1348, S 1349 and S 1351

Provenance
Very probably came into the possession of the vault administration of the Ministry of Finance of the GDR from the possession of the Deutsche Reichsbank in the course of the opening of bank vaults after 8 May 1945; transferred by the vault administration of the Ministry of Finance of the GDR to the National Museums in Berlin in June 1953 and from there to the Dresden State Art Collections in October 1959.
