Description
Inscription in two panels on either side of the lock: „In deiner Jugend solst du / dich zur Arbeit halten / Fleiß / iglich her nach gar schwer die / Arbeit ist wen du zum Alter / kommen bist Maria / Elisabed Emmermachern / Anno 1803“.
Provenance
Formerly the Luckenwalde Local History Museum (inv no. IV. 250). In April 1945, during the battle for the town, the museum building was destroyed and subsequently looted; only a few objects could be salvaged. Presumably lost during the war.
