Description
Lepke 1908: 211. PLATE, flat, Chinese-style painting in olive green, blue, yellow, brick red. In the background, walls with gates and towers as well as individual ascending flowers and plants. The masonry is mostly red chequered, partly with blue dots. On the rim, a woven mosaic in olive green with red stars, interrupted by four white fields with flowering shrubs. GB mark in blue under glaze. Rouen, J. Guillibaud factory, around 1730.
Lepke 1935: colourfully painted, Chinese-style latticework on the rim, pagoda with flowers in the background, GB mark in blue, Emden collection.
