Description
A cooper's rib plane. The plane blade is missing. The head of the plane is designed as a fully sculpted figure of a cooper. Inscription on the barrel lid: “MEMENTO MORI”.
Provenance
Formerly the Guben City Museum. Parts of the collection were apparently evacuated to Kossar (today: Kosierz) in 1942/43. The part of the collection that remained in Guben is said to have been looted between 1945 and 1948 and has been considered lost ever since.
