Description
Wooden box with a richly painted front panel. Inscription: ‘Johanna Charlotta [?] Augusta Kesselin / gebohren den 2. Jan. / gestorben den 7. eius 1773’.
Provenance
Formerly the Guben City Museum. Parts of the collection were apparently evacuated to Kossar (today: Kosierz) in 1942/43. The part of the collection that remained in Guben is said to have been looted between 1945 and 1948 and has been considered lost ever since.
