Description

The painting shows a landscape scene with a meadow in the foreground where some cows are grazing. A person appears to be herding the cows. A row of trees rises in the background, behind which the tower of a building, possibly a church, can be seen. The colours are subtle, with a soft sky and natural light.

The painting is signed at the bottom left: C. Pissarro. 1890
