Description
Pinewood panel with a colorful depiction of an executioner in a blue skirt, red vest, brown trousers and high boots. With an axe in his right hand, he is cutting through a right hand on a block. Below it, on a light background, the warning: “Wer E. E. Raths Freyheit bricht / Dem wird die frevel Hand gericht.”
Provenance
Formerly the Lübben local history museum. The collection was probably transferred to an inner-city relocation site in 1945. Probably lost during the war in 1945.
