Description
Two elaborately decorated silver gueridons (representative mobile stands), which contain four round decorative elements, a kind of flower/leaf pattern can be seen on them. Round decorated top plate.
Provenance
Presumably acquired at the beginning of the 18th century, these gueridons were placed in the tower room of the Dresden Castle. As part of the 1924 settlement agreement between the Free State of Saxony and the former royal family, the gueridons were transferred to the Free State of Saxony as room inventory. As only a few transport lists have remained, it is difficult to say exactly where they were removed. The gueridons were presumably removed during the war in August 1943 and brought to Rammenau Castle. The further whereabouts of the gueridons are unknown. It is assumed that they were lost in connection with the events of the Second World War.
